Iyeba Maclayton is the founder of The Sports Mom Concierge and a sports mom who lives the experience every day. With three active sons, she understands firsthand the complexity, pressure, and pride that come with raising young athletes.

Iyeba is far from a sideline spectator. She is a competitive squash player in the Vancouver Women’s Squash League, where she serves as Co-Captain of the Women’s Singles team. In 2025, she won the Squash Sun and Surf Tournament and has competed at the Canadian National Squash Championships, bringing the same elite-level discipline and commitment to her life off the court as she does on it.

Her corporate career spans nearly 18 years and reflects both depth and range. She began in school administration, building an early foundation in working with children and families. From there, her path took her to the engineering floors of the Niger Delta, across the logistics networks of Metro Vancouver, and into the production halls of major Canadian companies including Lafarge Canada and McKesson Canada. In these roles, she led teams of over 170 employees, managed complex multi-site operations, and consistently delivered measurable results.

Iyeba holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Pace University in New York and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Complementing her leadership background, Iyeba has completed professional certification in Early Childhood Education through Successful Solutions Professional Development. Her training covers child development, behavior, family relationships, program operation, and professional practice. This formal education, combined with her lived experience as a mother, gives her a uniquely informed and practical understanding of how to support children and the families who care for them.

Her leadership extends into the community, where she serves as a board member of Squash BC and the BC Council for Families, and as Membership Chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

The idea for The Sports Mom Concierge was born from lived experience. For years, Iyeba balanced high-level leadership responsibilities with the demanding, fast-paced life of raising young athletes. She knows what it feels like to be on a work call while her child is warming up across town, while managing the constant logistics, emotions, and expectations that come with it.

When she could not find a service that truly supported sports families in the way they needed, she built one.

Today, Iyeba leads The Sports Mom Concierge with the same rigor, warmth, and professionalism that defined her career, creating a trusted, high-quality support system for families navigating the world of youth sports.
